Full Care Package - £6500
This includes your midwifery care and support in the antenatal period, during labour and in the postnatal period - which is up to 4 weeks after your baby's birth.
I support women to have home births, home water births and hospital births. I specialise in supporting breech and twin births at home.
Antenatal and postnatal visits are approximately 1- 1 1/2 hrs and done in the comfort of your home at a time suitable to you and your partner. I am very happy for the baby's siblings to be involved during my visit.
I work with two other midwives - Jacqui Tomkins and Emilie Edwards. We are known as the London Birth Practice.
In the Antenatal period you will get to know two of us equally as we value and support continuity of care and carer.
Getting to know two midwives equally ensures that you will know at least one of the two midwives who will be with you at your baby's birth. The second midwife is usually the midwife you know. If she in not available, another midwife from our team who you may have met at our monthly coffee mornings will be attending the birth.
If you choose to have your baby at home, my colleague and I will be your primary carers.
If your choice is to have baby in the hospital or if you require transfer to your local hospital in an emergency in labour, our role is to support you and your partner as midwifery trained advocates.
My colleague and I are on call for you from the time you choose to work with us and will be accessible 24/7 until we finish your care at the end of the postnatal period.
The full care package does not include investigations eg blood tests, ultra sound scans, consultations with a private Obstetrician or stay in a private maternity hospital.
If you are eligible for NHS care your GP or your local hospital can arrange scans and blood tests for you. These tests can be performed privately, you will be required to pay for them your self.
We will be happy to advise you on how to access the private services.
If you are interested in my services you can arrange a consultation appointment with me and the colleague who will be working with me to support you. This professional consultation usually lasts around one hour and gives you an opportunity to raise any questions regarding our service and for us, the opportunity to discuss your choices, plans and the support you require. This helps to formulate a good working relationship.
This home consultation will incur a £100 non-refundable fee. This fee will be deducted if you choose to work with us.
To secure availability, once you have decided to book my services a non returnable booking fee of £2500 will be required before your booking appointment.
This and the consultation fee
will be deducted from the total cost of your care.
The remaining fee to be paid by 34 weeks. If you book late into your pregnancy the full payment will be required at your booking appointment.
