Practicing Associate of INDEPENDENT MIDWIVES ASSOCIATION
My 37 years of experience as a midwife has taken me from being a clinical midwife to senior leadership roles within the NHS, which was a wonderful journey. Some 15 years ago I made the decision to become an Independent Midwife - preferring more hands on, one-to-one relationships with the women and their families. I am caring, easy-going, flexible and passionate about my work - where my role is to empower and support you through your journey into motherhood.
I specialise in home births, water births, VBAC, twin birth at home and happy to advocate for you in hospital if you wish to birth in hospital.
I am happy to support you to birth in both hospital and in your home and have particular experience in facilitating water births, twin births and breech births. I enjoy getting to know women and their families and always feel very honoured to be a part of an amazing journey unique to each woman and her family.
My role as a midwife is to empower a woman to believe in her body and follow her own intuition. I support the informed choices that women make for themselves, their babies and their families and place enormous value in the support a woman needs in the first four weeks of her baby’s life as this helps with the smooth transition into parenthood.
I value the support of my colleagues in the practice and have a wonderful working relationship with the team. London Birth Practice.
